Application Instructions – Step by Step

Luna Roof® is a professional silicone-based roofing membrane developed for the renovation and protection of existing roofs. The product forms a flexible, waterproof and UV-resistant membrane that can significantly extend the life of the roof.

1. Surface preparation

A good result starts with proper preparation.

The roof surface must be stable, clean, dry and free of loose materials before application.

Recommended procedure

• Remove loose dirt, moss and algae with a stiff broom or brush.
• Clean with a soft broom or brush.
• In case of heavy soiling, high-pressure cleaning is recommended.
• Let the surface dry completely before treatment.

Note: Loose roofing felt layers, damaged areas or defective flashings should be repaired before application.

2. Tools and equipment

For optimal application, the following is recommended:

✔ High quality paint roller
✔ Brush for details and flashing
✔ Masking tape for masking
✔ Protective gloves
✔ Work clothes or painter's uniform

For larger projects, Luna Roof® can also be applied with suitable airless spray equipment.

3. Application of Luna Roof® Roof Membrane

Open the bucket and stir the product thoroughly for a minimum of 30 seconds.

Start by applying the membrane around:

• The chimneys
• Skylights
• Ventilations
• Collections
• Corners
• Flashings

Then apply to the rest of the roof surface with a roller or spray.

Important: Apply extra material at joints, corners, penetrations and other critical details for maximum durability.

4. Drying time and curing

• Surface dry after approximately 1-2 hours
• Rainproof after a short time under normal conditions
• Fully cured after approximately 24 hours

Drying time may vary depending on temperature, humidity and layer thickness.

5. Important conditions

Recommended working temperature: +5°C to +35°C

• Avoid application in rainy weather.
• Avoid frost and heavy condensation.
• Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
• Ensure dry conditions during application and curing.
